Cats in Snow

Cat-lovers CT

Our dog-lovers content has done well. Now it is time to play fair for cat-loving visitors. We are looking for examples to highlight of all things feline in CT. Does your hotel allow cats? Is your bookstore famous for its clowder of kitties? Do you have a cat sanctuary that encourages visitors? Perhaps you have a café with an over the top cat theme?  Anything that celebrates feline pets.  Please let us know, especially with photos!

Restaurant Winners

Restaurant Winners

The Office of Tourism could never venture to answer the popular questions “what are the best restaurants in CT.” With so many amazing establishments, how could we ever limit the list? However, the CT Restaurant Association can tell us who the winners of the CRAzies Awards are…those who have been voted the best-of-the-best. The awards will be announced on December 2 and we will create an article highlighting the winners in the various restaurant categories. The article will also mention businesses near by the winners, and we will need great photos.

Olympia Diner

Through the Decades

2020 starts a new decade, so to celebrate; we want to share ways to evoke the decades past. Speakeasys and distilleries for the Roaring 20s, museums or iconic establishments that embody the 30s and 40s, 50’s-style diners or drive-ins, etc. Please let us know which decade your business celebrates, especially if you have photos!

Winter Al Fresco

Winter Al Fresco

Connecticut visitors love outdoor dining, but believe they have to put this preference on hold until the weather warms up. Not so. Connecticut has wonderful places to have drinks and/or dinner outside while still keeping diners toasty. We are looking for photogenic offerings, and photos of course, that serve up winter wonderlands, alpine rooftop bars, light-bedazzled patios and other outdoor dining options that visually celebrate the magic of this long season.

We want to suggest ways to honor Black History Month in Connecticut. Please let us know what attractions, exhibits, restaurants and hotels you recommend that celebrate black history. And please send photos if you have them.
