Women's History Month

Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History month. We want to celebrate the many notable women of Connecticut’s past and the places in Connecticut where visitors can learn about and/or remember them. From museums and historic homes, to places, they frequented, please let us know your ideas of who to feature and where to direct readers to pay homage.

Mark Twain

Literature Lovers CT

We are looking for visit ideas that literature-lovers would love. Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe houses, certainly, but what else?  Are there locations that were the settings in important works? Are there towns where writers lived when they wrote noteworthy stories? Are there restaurants frequented by famous authors or famous characters?  Please let us know your ideas, especially if you have pictures.

What's New For 2020

What’s New for 2020

The press always asks us to tell them what is new. Each year. Each season. This year we would like to round it up for reporters, but also consumers. So, tell us, will you be opening a new attraction, activity, restaurant or hotel? Launching a new angle on an old one? Offering something, we have not seen before. Please let us know. And since it is new, we are not likely to be able to find photos any other way, so please send your best shots!

30+ Things to do in March

Visitors are always looking for “things to do”. We want to give them a list, by month, of great ideas, organized by type of experience, such as Family Fun, Active Adventure, Arts & Culture, and Culinary Experiences. We will include activities that are particularly relevant in the month, and big events that recur each year around the same time. We will also include a few things that may not be that season-specific, but just feel a little more relevant at this time of year. Please let us know if you have relevant offerings for this month. Especially if you have photos!
