When you live in Connecticut, summer and seafood shacks go hand in hand. A day at one of the many state beaches can come to the perfect end with a stop for a hot, buttered, Connecticut style lobster roll, a fried seafood platter and an ice cream cone. Here are a handful of my favorite Connecticut seafood shacks.

One thing that's great about Connecticut's compact, manageable size is that you're never far from a great roadside meal, especially in summer. In fact, there are so many good ones that we couldn't stop at five or 10 or even 15 - our list of 20 doesn't even cover the entire scene, of course, but it's a good place to start.
